Refund policy

At Analog Alchemy, we believe the tools of composition should be a source of lasting inspiration. If a selection does not meet your expectations or arrives in a state of compromise, we are committed to an honest and direct resolution.

1. Return Eligibility

To maintain the integrity of our curated inventory, items must be returned within 30 days of delivery.

  • Stationery & Notebooks: Must be in original, unopened packaging. We cannot accept returns on notebooks that have been unwrapped or written in, as the tactile surface is part of the product's essential value.

  • Fountain Pen Inks: To ensure safety and prevent contamination, bottled inks must have the original neck seal intact. We cannot accept returns on opened or partially used ink.

  • Writing Instruments: Must be in "as new" condition with all original boxes and documentation.

2. Damaged or Defective Items

We take great care in packaging glass bottles and delicate paper for transit from La Marque. However, should an item arrive damaged (e.g., a leaked ink bottle or a crushed notebook corner), please contact us at orders@analogalchemy.net within 48 hours of receipt with a photograph of the damage. We will provide a pre-paid return label and issue a full refund or replacement immediately.

3. The Return Process

  • Initiation: Email your order number and the reason for the return to our support address.

  • Shipping: For standard returns (non-defective), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot issue refunds for items lost in transit.

  • Restocking: We do not charge restocking fees; we believe in a transparent exchange between practitioners of the craft.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send a notification of approval.

  • Processing: Approved refunds are applied to your original method of payment within 5–7 business days.

  • Exchanges: If you would prefer a different ink hue or notebook ruling, we are happy to facilitate an exchange.

A Note on Artisanal Variations

Please note that many of our products, such as Noodler's Inks and Traveler's Company leather, are handcrafted in small batches. Variations in ink saturation or leather texture are not considered defects, but rather the unique "alchemy" of the manufacturing process.
